
REDD stands for “Reducing Emissions from Deforestation and Forest Degradation in Developing Countries”. REDD+ goes beyond deforestation and forest degradation, and includes the role of conservation, sustainable management of forests and enhancement of forest carbon stocks.

Save the date for Oslo REDD Exchange
The third conference will be held in June 2016.
Oslo REDD Exchange 2016 will take place on June 14 – 15, 2016.

The conference, following successful events in 2010 and 2013, is a key forum to convene REDD stakeholders from civil society, governments, private sector and academia. The goal is to promote the successful establishment and implementation of REDD+ through the exchange of perspectives, experiences and ideas.
Participation is by invitation only. These will be issued shortly and will contain all necessary information related to venue, accommodation, visas, etc. Work is underway to develop a rigorous conference program. This will be communicated to participants as we approach the event.
